The low vision service is in charge of the rehabilitation and visual habilitation of patients, who due to their condition cannot be admitted in either surgical or medical procedures and who still conserve vision that can be used for independent activities and daily life, such as moving, cleaning, and eating.
For its mission, the specialist in low vision uses lenses, optical devices, electronic and/or special filters.
The use of magnifying glasses for near vision, telescopes for far vision and filters for daily life are some of the tools used.
